I worked with Moody Kiddell & Partners (MKP), a mid-sized financial services firm, where onboarding a new employee meant printing contracts, posting forms, chasing signatures, and manually tracking tax, super and policy sign-offs.
Every new hire triggered the same cycle.
Managers were spending hours on admin instead of leading teams. Start dates were delayed. There was no centralised tracking. Compliance risk was growing quietly in the background.
And worst of all?
New employees were forming their first impression of the business through paperwork and friction.
This wasn’t an HR capability problem.

So Dexterous stepped in in an HR advisory capacity and ran a full diagnostic.
We mapped the entire onboarding journey and interviewed stakeholders to pinpoint operational bottlenecks.
Then we redesigned the process from the user’s perspective, focusing on simplicity for both managers and new hires.

The result?
Onboarding time was reduced from one week to 20 minutes.
Over 500 admin hours are saved annually.
Compliance risks and manual errors were significantly reduced.
Managers described the process as seamless.
New hires said they felt valued and ready from day one.
The transformation didn’t stop at onboarding.
MKP expanded into performance management and applicant tracking, and Dexterous now supports them in an ongoing, part-time HR
advisory capacity across employee relations, engagement, compliance, remuneration reviews and recruitment.
Automation didn’t remove the human element.
It strengthened it.
