Purpose of Role
The Global Operations Manager oversees the operations of the Global Team, ensuring all administrative and business processes run efficiently and effectively. As a strategic partner to the Managing Director and Leadership Team, this role provides operational leadership, maintains governance frameworks and compliance standards and provides HR insight to help shape business direction, drive performance, and foster a strong, cohesive, and people-first culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Operations and Governance
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address complex operational challenges.Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive governance frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
- Oversee organizational compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Lead strategic planning and implementation of business continuity measures
People & Culture Leadership
- Work closely with the HR Generalist to implement people initiatives, support employee relations, and uphold HR best practices.
- Ensure that all employees have clear career development plans and regular 1-on-1 check-ins.
- Support leadership in building and maintaining a culture of feedback, engagement, and recognition.
- Facilitate hybrid work arrangements and promote collaborative, high-trust team dynamics.
- Lead or support policy development, compliance reviews, and HR audits to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Support sensitive HR processes including performance management and investigations
Strategic Communications, Partnerships & Leadership Support
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and Management Team, providing insights on organizational performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and internal projects that advance company objectives and operational excellence
- Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports to support their growth and development.
- Coordinate company-wide internal communications, ensuring all staff are informed and understand the changes and the processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
Compliance and Reporting
- Drive a culture of reporting against key metrics and support the management team to deliver required reports in a timely manner.
- Review, authorise and approve payments in accordance with delegation of authority.
- Oversee vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring contracts meet legal standards and provide cost-effective and required services.
- Review and approve vendor and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed terms.
- Partner with IT to maintain secure, compliant technology infrastructure and data protection standards
Compliance and Reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive management experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong leadership presence with coaching and mentoring skills
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR compliance, and global operations management
- Demonstrated experience in making sound and strategic decisions in complex situations – capable of evaluating risks, anticipating consequences and choosing the most effective course of action.
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and integrity
- Adaptable, proactive, and solutions-driven; comfortable navigating change and complexity
