Four years ago, Dexterous Founders Nick Urry and James Iliffe were talking over a coffee and decided it was time to break the mold and set up a modern cloud-based accounting firm.
This conversation led to a mission finding visit to Manila where Nick and James set up the small offshore team. Fast forward four years and the team has now grown to 45, based in Sydney and the Philippines.
“It’s hard to believe it was 4 years ago Jay and I sat in a coffee shop in Sydney and decided to start the business. It’s been an amazing journey and none of it would have been possible without our amazing Sydney and Manila teams,” said Nick.
“I can’t thank each and every one of the team enough for the hard work they put in day after day to ensure our customers are at the forefront of everything we do.”
To those with us from the early days, Shanie, Jackie, and Caris in our Manila team and Kate in our Sydney team you’ve seen the business grow and you’ve grown with it. To all staff, Dexterous is what it is today because of each and every one of you so thank you.”
Dexterous has achieved so much in this short time with strong growth year on year in terms of employee numbers and also revenue.
“We’ve laid a solid foundation and our journey is just beginning and I am personally excited by the team we have now. We have the opportunity to be at the forefront of this technological change in our space where we can introduce our customers to more efficient systems, better insight and hopefully contribute to their success,” said James.
