What do you do?
I am a Junior Accountant in Dexterous’ Sydney office. I work closely with our Client Managers to deliver quality accounting, bookkeeping, tax and payroll tasks for clients. Since joining the team, it’s been rewarding to work with varied businesses on a range of accounting projects, including Earjobs.
What are your qualifications? Do you have an area of speciality?
I majored in Accounting and Information Systems for my Bachelor of Commerce. I am passionate about business development and accounting process improvement. As such, I really enjoy contributing my knowledge towards both accounting and tax services at Dexterous.
Tell us what your #1 tip is for small or medium businesses?
Bolster your business during uncertain times by applying for additional government funding. I believe it’s essential that small and medium businesses are aware of, and apply for, any grants they’re entitled to.
What do you love about your job at Dexterous?
I really enjoy having the opportunity to meet and help businesses from a variety of industries. Plus, it’s inspiring working with so many talented, hardworking, and fun people here.
What’s the last new skill you learnt?
In the last twelve months I’ve enjoyed turning my hand towards painting. After a day working on a screen, I really enjoy unwinding by putting a brush to paper. I don’t know if I’m any good, but I really enjoy standing back and seeing the full painting when it’s done!
